Kindergator Parents, Our Habit of the Month for April and May is Sharpen the Saw. Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have--you. It means having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life:  physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual.  Here are some examples of activities: Physical: Beneficial eating, exercising, and resting Social/Emotional: Making social and meaningful connections with others Mental: Learning, reading, writing, and teaching Spiritual: Spending time in nature, expanding spiritual self through meditation, music, art, prayer, or service We would like to request a printed picture of your child “Sharpening the Saw”!  This picture will be in our hallway display for Gator Gala night.  Please send in your child's picture by April 15th.   Thank you, Kindergarten Te...

Parental Pedagogy Week , Coming the week of May 13-17 We would like to invite YOU to come in to class and teach something unique and personal to the students.   This can involve career related lessons, cultural tradition lessons, science projects, cooking lessons, art lessons or anything you think the students might enjoy. Hands-on lessons and projects are usually the most interesting, but sharing a special family story can be a wonderful experience too. This is a chance to promote the importance of education, have some fun, expand our curriculum, and show the students that everyone has something special to contribute! Addison Elementary School Foundation  Kick-A-Thon Friday, 3/29 AESF is hosting a Kick-A-Thon  to raise money for the Science Lab and for new technology throughout the school. Your child will attempt to kick 10 soccer goals during specials that day, but must be registered and have pledges to participate.  Don't let your child miss out.  $1 a kick goes a long way if everyone participates!  I'd love my class to have 100% participation, so please register your child  at Kick-A-Thon Registration Thank you and happy kicking!
