Special Request

Kindergator Parents, Our Habit of the Month for April and May is Sharpen the Saw. Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have--you. It means having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life:  physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual.  Here are some examples of activities: Physical: Beneficial eating, exercising, and resting Social/Emotional: Making social and meaningful connections with others Mental: Learning, reading, writing, and teaching Spiritual: Spending time in nature, expanding spiritual self through meditation, music, art, prayer, or service We would like to request a printed picture of your child “Sharpening the Saw”!  This picture will be in our hallway display for Gator Gala night.  Please send in your child's picture by April 15th.   Thank you, Kindergarten Teachers

Calling All Parents

Parental Pedagogy Week , Coming the week of May 13-17 We would like to invite YOU to come in to class and teach something unique and personal to the students.   This can involve career related lessons, cultural tradition lessons, science projects, cooking lessons, art lessons or anything you think the students might enjoy. Hands-on lessons and projects are usually the most interesting, but sharing a special family story can be a wonderful experience too. This is a chance to promote the importance of education, have some fun, expand our curriculum, and show the students that everyone has something special to contribute! We welcome your ideas and can even help with some planning or materials if you need us. Here are some examples from previous years: Puppet Making                           What Doctors Do                         Learning Spanish Making Mud Pudding                 How to Play Baseball                  Watercolors Cursive Handwriting                   T
